SINGING UNDER THE RAIN

Filed under: Panama — Philippe @ 4:27 am

Doo-dloo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-dloo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-dloo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-dloo-doo-doo-doo-doo…

I’m singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin’
I’m happy again
I’m laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun’s in my heart
And I’m ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I’ve a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin’,
Singin’ in the rain

CABARET

Filed under: Panama — Philippe @ 4:43 am

Babette M. is a friend. She sang and danced in a cabaret. I first met her 26 years ago. She was singing New York New York on a little scene in Marseille.

Today she is painting, acting, and still singing from time to time… New York… New York….

A photo, quickly taken, without preparation and thinking. An instantaneous, made with by Blackberry.

It was an instant. Without title.

Guitar

Filed under: Panama — Philippe @ 4:06 am

I was 15 when I bought my first guitar.

She was a second-hand guitar, sold in a second-hand book store just outside my college, the Lycée Thiers of Marseilles.
I didn’t tell my parents. Just my grandmother, because she was willing to make me this gift, even if it was neither Christmas or my birthday.

My guitar became my best friend, gave me confidence, and force me to write and learn something by myself.
I miss her.
